Dat hype

That's a pretty big guy - seen better days though. They are always offered in brackish water at LFS. Is this a plus or minus?
 
biggest ive seen in so cal was a Wes old store. would consider that beast about 18"+.

i have a picture of a huge dat own by someone overseas on my home computer that is bigger.

ThisisTong: may i ask where did you see dats at full size? public aquarium or private collection.

Yea, i imagine that thing is very old.
As far as brackish water goes, it depends on the species of dat. In brackish some do well and some dont.
 
Now, THAT is a nice fish - wish I knew how big it was. Love the yellow/black and speckling. Nothing like what you see in an aquarium.
 
That's an NGT. They look like that in an aquarium too:D
 
If so, why have I never seen them before on here? Just the plain silver/black ones? Are the NGT's rare, then?
 
NGT's are fairly uncommon. I'll search for some pix.

I dont think any Dats are common... all Dat species are in their own way hard to get.
