When refering to "max size" you should think of the size the fish is likely to get even in the best conditions. There are always those freaks of nature that will grow larger then the norm. There was a story of a 30" Pulcher, but it is commonly agreed that 24" is the "usual max size". People say NTT's have gotten up to 16", but there is a 99.9% chance it won't get over 12". I am sure there has been some NGT's over 14", but again, i believe most people refer to the AVERAGE max size a fish can get in the best circumstances.

Wouldn't it be something to see though, an NGT the size of a large widebar? That would have to be a solo tank with as much attitude an NGT can have backed up with the size of huge ST.
