Getting back on track and answering the OP questions. A 75g 48x18x21 tall can house 1-2 datnoid until 10” not for life any bigger than that will start to look crazy they are tall body fish, I had a 12” datnoid in my 75g quarantine tank and it look like 8” Oscar in a 10g tank. I seen some datnoid go from 2” to 10” in one year those one that grow quickly its genetic not all datnoid will hit 10” in a year.
bottom dwellers: like bichirs,plecos and catfish can be house with datnoids.
Silvery fish: like the pinktail chalceus,silver dollars, barbs, Flagtail and characins types will get pop, missing scales and rip fins from time to time.
Some cichlids will work like parrots cichlid but be careful with other more aggressive cichlids they can hurt the datnoid.
And like Viktor said make sure no fish can fit in the datnoid mouth because it will get eaten . They’re not cannibal to there own kind a 12” dat will not eat a 2” datnoid.
