Dating advice?

Hello; Several good points in this thread. College years can be party time for many and folks do hook up for short time fun. However from my personal experience and general observation even the party girls are keeping an eye out for a provider when it comes to a long term mate.

A bicycle may get a date to a party but it seems to me for a ride down life's highway a dude needs a car.

We seem to have three sub-topics in this thread. Qualifications for a dude to hook up, how to find a longer term relationship and bicycle compared to a car.

Yeah, right now I'm just focused on meeting people. Eventually, I'm sure to meet the right one doing that.

I just realized how odd the word "oompa" looks on its own, lol

I've only gone through the first page of this thread, but honestly you answered your own question here and you have the right mentality. Get yourself out there 'cause sitting at home definitely minimizes your chances. I assume you're still a young guy, and based on where you are in life this is the right approach. Be confident in yourself and things have ways of working out.

If all fails...start hanging out at lfs...at least you'll find a girl that's into fish...LOL j/k ;-)

First condition of a girl getting my love: you must love or tolerate my snake and fish.

Well i am too young to have a relationshop that serious :p

I met my hubby three weeks before my 15th birthday...

You're only too young if you feel you're too young. :)

Welcome to a north American College or university
Wow... No offense but I would hate to be a kid over there. :(

My condolences for north American kids j/k :P

Hello; I have to ask. What is a "bludging man"? It sounds bad.

Hello; You got that right.
A bludger (man or woman) is someone who does nothing with their life while expecting the world to fall at their feet.

Basically no job, no intentions of getting a job, lack of ability to cook for ones self, lack of ability to clean after ones self and expecting that everything will be fine because someone else will do all that, makes you a bludger..

Basically its a lazy person who expects the world to fix their problems for them...

I'm online pre coffee this morning, sorry if I'm not making sense. :)

That's awesome. I have old friends from high school that meet their spouses around 14 or 15 years old. It's pretty awesome to see some relationships last for a while.

Yeah, by the time I turn 30 we will have been together for over half of my life, we've just celebrated our 8th anniversary in July. :)

Don't get me wrong, there have been many of times where I've wanted to headbutt him (and vice versa) but what do you expect when you go into a relationship as a kid? Personally I think we've done well to get where we are. :)

naw hell you're in college bruh, its not about life long relationships in school....its barely about 24 hour relationships at that point...just live your own life. These ladies in college don't want forever yet so the whole car/money argument can take a slight step back until you graduate...or at least don't give them the chance to think about it lol.
I know a ton of people that met their spouses in college. That's the an awesome place to meet people.

Btw, regarding the height thing; yes this can put off some, and I stress "some" women, this is a good thing, as you don't want women that value such trivial things in your life anyway.

Plus, different strokes for different folks, you'll probably bag some 5'0 tidy blonde that actually likes the height similarity; don't put yourself down

This is probably the best post in this thread. :)
I'm 5'3 and my hubby is between 5'7 and 5'8, I don't think I'd like it if he were any taller..

If the op is young he may grow a little more before he stops. Remember, people don't stop growing at 18...
