Have you ever lived in a highly populated city? Seriously man a car is not everything. Maybe it is when you have kids and they need to be places quick but till then not the biggest priority
I've got to agree with you on this, I fail to see how a hunk of metal is going to change much if you're enjoying each other's company enough. If they only care about what car you drive then maybe you should move on...

Didn't read through the whole thread, but i got one word for you... TINDER

Seriously though, one of my be best mates ended up marrying one of his matches from Tinder...

Marrying huh? I don't think people go on there for that... lol ;)

Hello; We are clearly from two very different parts of the world. I did live in Indianapolis Indiana for a few months back in the late 1960's. Do not recall seeing people going around on bicycles. Lived in smaller places mostly.

A car is now and has been petty much needed for day to day living for me. I am now retired so do not have to go every day any more, but still need on for some trips. I do ride my bicycle to the local post office, bank and to pay my water bill when the weather is good. There are a lot more bicycles now than in the distant past. I ride for fitness as I can no longer run the miles. I also do not chase women any more but want a car or truck.

Back to the topic of the thread and my point about cars. Aside from the practical use for a car they have been an indicator of a persons financial status to a large degree. Perhaps a status symbol? At any rate a guy with a car has always seemed to trump a guy without.
I guess in a city with public transportation, lots of cabs and things close enough for walking that particular symbol my not mean so much. There must be some other way for a guy to have a visual sign of being solvent? Nice clothes? Fancy watch? Electronic devices?

Forgive me if this is a repeat. Guys in college may be too poor for a car while in college, but the notion is they likely will someday be much more solvent if they make it thru school. (That is much less true now. Seems a college degree is more likely to guarantee a big debt but not so much a job.) Use to be my take that some women went to college with the intention of finding a guy with potential. Bear in mind that early on in this thread we readers did not know the OP and a few others were still in school.

Not that this God like body couldn't get the job done too. Lol did I mention that the God I was talking about was Buddha?
I can admit I giggled at this, what I don't want to admit is how hard.. :D

I love it when bigger people can take the mickey out of themselves and not get huffy about it, congratulations sir, I don't know many bigger people that have the balls to "make fun" of themselves. :)

They actually hooked up first through tinder, then started dating and eventually got married.. but yeah... still shows Tinder maybe an option...

Best app ever. I've never even remotely thought of marrying someone through it but its served its purpose for me many a time lol.

No. They don't, or shouldn't haha, but I guess if it works out or she somehow convinces you to stay as you put your shoes on quietly at 4 am to bolt out the door...
