Dragonfish, there's only 1 Con (a female) in there and the Oscars are adults, 13"+. But these Oscars just ignore small fish.

Personally, I just think that I wouldn't risk pricey fish like Dats with an Oscar no matter how friendly. I understand that you love your Oscars, but Dats do grow really slow. Unless you're willing to pay a higher price for a larger Dat, then I would just set up another tank for the Dats. I had 6 ITs in the past and they went from 1" to 3.5" in a year from my 29g then transferred to my 75g tank...that kind of gives you an idea of their growth rate.

The bigger ones are pricey but little ones are 1/3 the cost of a Discus. I'm leaning towards giving them their own tank anyway.....
I did grow out some 1/2" Geos in with these Oscars though. I don't know why they don't chase other fish
.Dats sound a bit challenging to keep. I'm pretty well established with SA/CA Cichlids but these Dats seem like a different ball game. I want one!
