Nah, I wouldn't give up my Oscars for anything in the world :-)

I wouldn't do it I would hate to see a dat eaten up by an oscar

You're talking about 2 Oscars that get bossed around by a 1" Texas lol They've never shown the slightest bit of aggression to another fish in their life no matter how small the other fish.

Personally, I just think that I wouldn't risk pricey fish like Dats with an Oscar no matter how friendly. I understand that you love your Oscars, but Dats do grow really slow. Unless you're willing to pay a higher price for a larger Dat, then I would just set up another tank for the Dats. I had 6 ITs in the past and they went from 1" to 3.5" in a year from my 29g then transferred to my 75g tank...that kind of gives you an idea of their growth rate.

Lord, they grow slower than Clown Loaches, don't they??
The bigger ones are pricey but little ones are 1/3 the cost of a Discus. I'm leaning towards giving them their own tank anyway.....
I did grow out some 1/2" Geos in with these Oscars though. I don't know why they don't chase other fish :headshake.
