oh i put my dat in the pond he seems fine since all the id sharks 12 inches and bigger. he ate some food sticks today in the pond. he wont eat live food or meat i have an awesome datnoid
 
Good stuff I was gona say if he's still shying away try a floating plant for bit of cover , worked with mine when he was smaller
 
I have a 3 inch dat that is ALWAYS out. He is my most active fish in my 180. Hes the only dat i have. i used to have three but one got ich and He killed the other. But i got a peacock feel about a month ago and everytime the feel comes out He picks on it and I'm not really sure why. I have other fish and He has never shown.any aggression towrds them. I guess it just gows to show all fish are different. Good luck
