White bass grow out or a yellow bass, scats may work for several years if you have hard water

What about an oscar?(silver dollars are good but are quite greedy)(so are the oscars, but their much more beautiful :p

Could I do a oscar, pike cichlid and datnoid in that tank or would that be too many fish, if not an oscar maybe astronotus crassipinnis

I don't know about much cichlids except the oscar and some others. But some bichirs and Gars would be good. It would make a wonderful view too.

What about a knife fish species? I didn’t have much luck keeping oscars with dats as either one or the other would attack each other, pink tail chalceus could work as could chocolate cichlid but these are as greedy as oscars, silver sharks are another possibility for midwater fish, bichirs are good for bottom dwellers too

Try to get that bigger than datnoid's mouth and do not try getting fish that swims on upper water level, daitnoid intend to attack fish that swim above them
