Datnoids, are they all wild caught?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't quite get what is meant by big-bar and double band...

Several of mine have irregular stripe patterns, one number of stripes on one side and a different number on the other side. I don't think I've noticed the side with the least stripes having a wider band, but perhaps I'm just not paying enough attention.
A couple of them do have really wide bands in general though.

yea i have a feeling this is some 16Yr old kid that wants ppl to think, that he knows somthing they dont.

there hasnt been one other person, that i know of, that has made the same claims as he is.

I am in agreement with Icth, and T1K... lets see some proof

well i guess that non of yo have been to this country or this region or know what a developing country looks like, all you have ever seen may be just fish tanks at LFS.

but eggs, fry etc, i have never seen as well because it is not a crystal clear swimming pool that you can see everything but more like deep and dark pond water. so i have seen their babies etc, call me a kid if you like, but i don't have to prove anything. you think you know that much, bring your dive gear over here and i'll show you everything you need to know and you can go tell your friends that.

anyways, i feel so lucky anyways to be closest to these fish, see the best of them, and have so many people here who also feel so lucky as me. such a shame that many of my firends cannot commnicate in English. as i can dare to assume that many of the best looking wide bar pulchars were sold and exported by them in the 90's, which may be some of the biggest ST's you are seeiong now. so come here anytime if you really want to see it., hence i ain't no national geographic dude to take pictures to sell to you who i am.

oh by the way, i am still happy to answer queries, if anyone still wants to post them, whilst for the meantime, i am waiting for my share of pulchar ST's out of the pond in a week.

so this will be a golden month where new sper wide bands ST's will be in the Thai market, and where me and my friends will be next to fish tanks all day.

i'm sorry if i come off as a dis-believer but that is waht I am at this point. I dont want to sound mean or disrespectful but I still stand by the fact that I have never heard any of this before.

I also think that if these fish are goin extinct AND the demand is so high for them AND the success rate for breeding is only 10% that there would have been 2 or 3 ppl in your country that have gone down into these farms to take pictures of eggs and mating rituals to better understand how to breed them.

I hope everything that you say is true, because that would mean more dats are on there way and hopefully we can see a price drop soon, but for right now I do not know how much I can even attempt to believe.

I have heard rumors of breeding in farms, so i tend to beleive that a little more then the cross breeding and the breeding for a special look claims.
