Yes, I think the majority of people here keep them in full fresh. I have my STs/IT/NGT in full fresh. I think ATs prefer some salt but they can live fine in full fresh.

To answer your broad and generalized question. No. All datnoids will NOT survive those conditions, as only 2 types are found in brackish water.
Please do some research before you kill these fish.
