Dats in bare tanks

sand is to much hassle

use a fine smooth pebble gravel its not much bigger than sand but doesn't get sucked in by the filters

i cant stand bare tanks

no decor yes
no substrate no

I've seen some really nice tanks with tiles on the bottom. If you got some black tiles cut to fit that would look awesome.

They take much longer to settle in w/bare tanks

its personal opinion. i prefer sand. i've tried BB and didn't like it. i have a thin layer of sand in my 125g, enough to look good but not too think to trap crap.

No where near like what I had before, but my Polys are much much happier too, and id say the dats are ok aswell.
