You are going to put the poly on to that frame structure?
Yep, 50mm/2" poly straight on top of the frames. Talking to a very experienced builder and fish geek (has build many DIY tanks, hopefully he'll post some pics one day!) and he said that having the poly on a narrow edge like this rather than a piece of ply puts more pressure on the poly and allows it to compress more to absorb any unevenness. Makes sense to me.

The stand is really heavy, not sure how I'll go shifting it if/when we ever move, don't even want to think about it. Building it this way was so much easier, stronger, and probably cheaper than shagging about making short legs for it. The timber is H4 treated timber usually used for retaining walls, so I'll have no problems with it rotting, and because its rough sawn its about 1/3 the price of the dressed stuff.
