they have small sharp ,teeth -like structure (made of cartilage i believe ) near the mouth. you can see it come out when they eat.

freshwaterstingray i just reread and the ray is 5 years old? Truly sorry for the loss.

1 teaspoon per 5 gals of water with salt.

dude sorry for your loss I just lost my retic and my chain link last week of the same symtoms i did a 30% water change the next day my retic was swimming very wierd and my motoro had a large white spot at the front of his disk and both stopped eating with in a few days i lost them both
