I think I'd also suggest a mouse trap and some cheese/peanut butter to solve the issue before it happens again.

If I can find the mouse in my trash when I get home I will take pics. What's more bizarre is my sump is completely covered except for a small 3" hole where it must have fell in

Forget a pic of the mouse carcass. Post up a pic of your pump. That new reeflo of yours is a BEAST . Most people dont have pumps with a 2" Ø intake....
