you do that, keep us posted..but get another aro:)

that would be very weird. because in the 3 months i had the first one and the 3 months i had the second neither of them ever attempted or even looked like they would jump.
i personally doubt that would be it. but hey might be.

thanx peeps

Well, at 2-3 inches they are VERY saseptable to almost anything. Could have been an internal parasite, or internal injury it recieved over the night, etc. Anyhow, dont sweat yourself....once you get you aro over 6 inches or so your pretty good from there, 12 inches and you should be golden.:D

you say that my bruv had one at 7 inch in a 48x18x28 on its own plenty of plant grwth for cover , good water specs and the same!! i wanna know whats wrong with them!!! they last three months then peg it!!

buy another one soon.... don´t be discouraged... ;)

sound like the fish died from stress. in your bro's case as well. Anyhow, whatever the real reason is.....just learn from your mistakes, try again and make a happy fish, which in turn will make you a happy owner.:D

i dont think a fish would die out of the blue because of stress like that

The only way to know what really happened is to perform a microscopic necropsy on the fish. Look over the body and the gills then cut it open and look at all the organs for any sign of desease. This examination could get very involved if you did histological examination of the tissue with dehydration to xylene, embedding and sectioning with a ultramicrotome before mounting and microscopic examination. After all of this you still might not know what killed it. My jar is being raised from a 2 1/2 inch fish. I already had to deal with a parasitic copepod and getting it to eat crickets. It's easier to just buy a bigger fish.

Just out of curiousity...did you and your bro get the jars from the same lfs?
