this seems to be a common occurrence for The Trust.

Well, if I knew more of what I was looking at inside the fish then it wouldn't be a mystery but I don't so it's a mystery in my book. I'll call u over when a fish dies in the future that I don't know off and you tell me what it is. I'll even test the water in front of you so you know that all was well.

So from what I have mentioned, you tell me what you think was wrong with it? I've had the fish fro months and it was doing well in my tank I fed it trout pellets but the bulk of the diet was romaine lettuce. I left the house and all was fine and less than 2 hrs later it's dead.

How is it a common occurence? That huge fish loss, I called it a tank poisoning and killed almost all my fish. I don't know what the poison was so I consider it a mystery. Could be a household item that entered the water.

I dont remember losing fish lateky that fell under "mysterious death". Hmmm lets see.......lately it's mostly been eaten by tank mates, killed by tank mates, bad case of ich, or ammonia. So I know all of what happened to those.

So if you can tell me what u think happened to the gourami, I'd certainly like to hear it. But if it makes you feel better, I will change the mysterious death to "internal bleeding" so you can rest at ease. ;)

****, if you actually cook your fish and dont eat it raw like sushi you shouldnt have a problem. i dont see any parasites surviving a thorough cooking and it would have to be some sort of bacteria or rotten meat if i am thinking correctly. who cares though, i eat tacos from tijuana all the time and never get sick. they are supposed to be dog or cat and i know of a lot of people who get sick, but i must just have an iron stomach due to the fact that ill eat pretty much anything. if you get sick and die it was your time to go. if you just get seriously ill youll have to make the choice of ever eating fish again or not. i have never had any ill effects from fish ive ate from the aquarium, if one day i do ill maybe think twice before i do it again

it doesent matter how well you cook it, it wont neutralize any chemicals that are present in the fresh.

evere heard of biological magnification?

That sucks my man! At least you still have some of the other ones. If it was internal bleedin maybe it got rammed by one of the larger pbass....that could do it....:(

If you were gonna eat it anyway then what's the difference? I am not saying this because the fish is going to be eaten but because you said you would eventually eat all the fish you own...so whats the big deal?
