I know this may sound weird but I have been noticing my RTC x TSN acting pretty strange lately. I did a 30% water change about 2 days ago and on about 5 different times Ive seen him do what can best be descibed as almost a crocidile death roll he rotates almost half way and then goes back to normal.

What can this be and is it something i should be concerned about?

I must ask the proverbial "What are your parameters?" Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate? Is he flashing on the rocks, or is he doing this in the water column?

answer the question.. it was asked for a reason..

well i do not know what all my water levels are i havent checked recently besides ph which was around 6.9 i would say yesterday. I need to buy the full test kit. but last time i took it to my lfs and they said my water was fine.

the times ive seen him do it he does the roll near the gravel mostly

Huh? I don't know if you should be concerned, because you didn't give any info! Generally, yes, you should be concerned, because you have these fish in 55 gallons of water. But specifically, I'm not sure. More info, please!

Ammonia burn. If you have these fish in this small tank, you SHOULD own a test kit, and be testing daily, as that's how quickly parameters can change in this situation. He's flashing because the ammonia is burning his skin, gills, and eyes, and he doesn't know what else to do. Pretty soon, the others will be doing it too.

And I am female. Not all MFK'ers are guys. Just so you know.
