Death Roll

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The 300 would hold them for awhile, but my thinking on this is that if you buy a 125 and all necessary accessories, only to move them to a 300 (expensive tank, all by itself) and all of those accessories, and you're also having to add and increase filtration due to their growing size, you'd be better off just doing a plywood build, or even using an intex pool. See the indoor pond forum for some good ideas on this. You're already starting out in a large basement, which is great, so why not save yourself some cash and just start building what they'll be in for life? I did mine out of concrete, because i have cats, and I was worried about the durability of intex pools or even plywood builds. But if you don't have any other critters running around, a build of this size/type would be comparably cheap. Especially if you have to upgrade twice in the next two years, and then do the build on top of that!
