Dang wish I knew where you people can find these large predatary haps so large and sucjh cheap prices!

Todd,
Hope you ENJOY your new additions! And by the way, the prices these people are talking about are in their dreams. These people are smoking some good stuff that they paid cheap prices for and I believe they got confused between the two :).... Just for example: to IMPORT a 4" Tyrannochromis Nigriventor cost around 40-50.00 depending on which "dealer" you use. To get this guy up to 8"+ will take about another 10-16 months (roughly 25-40.00 for food, water, electricity, time, medication, etc.) for a price range of 65-95.00 just for the cost of the fish. Over this range is money in the dealers pocket. If these guys can find F0 stuff of this CALIBER (SIZE FULL COLORATION) for under this price range please FEEL FREE to let me know so I can start ordering from them!! :)

Here in Cleveland Ohio, I can get 6-8" eye biters for $15, Large peacocks are always cheap 5-6" for $15-20. Tyrans are usually $40 for 4-5". The trout and emperor are a bit more expensive, usually 5-6" $25-35. So in my area, your getting ripped off, bigtime. But I go to oca meets and small county association meetings to get these. But fish cost different on the other side of the country so I can't tell you if it's a good deal for you or not.

And freakfish must not know to much of what hes talking about, tell me how much I pay for my fish.

I got a couple of baby trout cheap for 6 each. I seen them go for alot more when big. Same with the eyebiters, I bought babies for 12 each and bigger more expensive. The emporer is expensive at all sizes. My lfs at some about 8" for $50. Any big Peacock or Hap goes for big money. If you want them big to start with you will pay.

Yep... Unfortunately that is the way it is. I am pretty much 100% positive that those fish are not wild caught either... That also increases the price :(... Usually hobbyist fish are going to be cheaper. I would really like to know where you can find an 8" F0 tyrannochromis nigriventor for 80.00?

Can't usually find all the tyrannochromis' available regardless.. Usually IF they are available they are 4" or slightly smaller..

Doesn't really matter I suppose; just really trying to prove a point.
