Prime works for me and I have had some mixed feelings about stress coat over the years.

I used to use Stress Coat. Then I switched to Prime. Then I switched to Safe. It's the most cost effective I've found so far. 1 kilo treats 200,000 gallons so water changes cost about $2.33 per year for declorinator.Great bang for the buck when changing lots of water weekly.

i heard seachem safe was even cheaper than prime.

I'm pretty sure safe is the powdered version of prime. And I do believe its cheaper per gallon, but may only be sold in larger containers. Might be worth checking out. Prime is pretty darn cheap.

I only paid $8 for a 250g bottle of safe which will treat up to 50,000 gallons, which is better than a $10 of prime that treats 10,000 gallons
