I am also setting up a 90 gallon right now, but I am going the poly route. Right now my delhezi and senegal are in my 46 bowfront. Im going to add them and a few more polys/ my knife and red wolf to the 90 gallon. I find it more entertaining to have multiple personalities... for all you know you could get a boring fahka.

Very true, Now i am switching up to maybe a delhezi and a senegal, but also adding some Belonesox or something not too big but fast and packing a nasty pred punch

stay away from the large cichlids like oscars and so on. Go with something thats not so common. My bichir and gold sev are like brothers u gotts get something a lil less aggressive imoa.

In a way if your not planning on getting anything bigger than the 90, then the poly's would probably be happier in that tank in the long run... but if your willing to go the 125G+ then i would definitely suggest getting a fahaka... otherwise, if you can find some, you could do like 3 maybe 4 (SAPS) South American Puffers in the 90G... since they actually like to school together...

I like all the advice! Not going to Oscar route though, been there done that too many times! Seriously considering the poly's and company, or maybe SA puffers....cannot make up my friggin mind!

Ok well if your into the predator thing then i would get a few polys, then find a red wolf fish. They stay small only about 8 inches and do well with other fish. Would be a very nice tank as far as the polys swimming all over the the wolf on the hunt for feeders or other meaty foods.
