Is there a commonly accepted definition of the term FlowerHorn?

I found that one... but they really don't offer a definition, nor do I think the Wiki people are the ones who should be defining the term.

I'm shocked that some of the larger FH communities haven't moved forward to make some conclusive decisions as to what is a FlowerHorn and what hybrids qualify as FlowerHorns...

Actually I'm still assuming they have and I've just not found it... which is why I'm asking here...

So a fish that is 1/2 Trimac and 1/2 Red Devil that does not have a massive kok is not a FlowerHorn? Or if it's not crazy aggressive it's not a FlowerHorn?

Seems a shame for such a commonly used term to have no definition (rendering it a useless term).

That's ridiculous, the "wiki people" that wrote the flowerhorn page are probably us at this website.

what kind of definition are you looking for? honestly, what is the definition of an oscar?

The definition of an oscar would be a south american cichlid from the amazon that is brownish with orange or white strips depending on the morph.

For a flowerhorn i think it would be a Hybrid fish concentrated with amphilous but not limited to amphilous genes.

Flowerhorns are so diverse it's hard to tell what exactly a flowerhorn is it would be easier if you asked on type. for example

Flowerhorn = genus
kamfa/red dragon etc... = species

wish they would make ^a guide line.

Also the literal meaning of the name " Oscar " is "Spear of the Gods "
