Deleted my Facebook today.

My wife stays on Facebook at night, so I call MFK my "Fishbook". I couldn't care less about who left who, who ate where, and who bought what. Facebook to be is like Live action role playing and a soap opera had a baby...

I have a nephew that takes a picture of everything he eats and puts it on facebook.

I don't understand why anyone thinks anyone cares what you are eating. I mean I can see it if you ate something for the first time or something exotic or something you ate while in another country but cmon, everything you eat on the daily doesn't need to be posted
 
While i still use facebook, its more to promote events i'm involved in, or events that friends are hosting.. on a persona level though, the only pics people see are of my fish or shoes...
 
People enable people. If I post a picture of something I ate, and people like it or comment on it, i'm going to keep doing it. If no one comments or someone says I'm a loser for posting that, I'm going to be hesitant to repost something of that nature.

things like this and keeping in touch with friends/family is fine

but the majority are people young and old beefing, hating, bullying, showing off, modeling themselves,............redonkulous

Face book blows, but don't think that because you deleted your account that everything posted isnt still there. Its just not visible. Everything once uploaded is there forever...............
 
I signed up a year and a half ago as a means to stay in contact with a friend but the following months played games on it, then have only been on it twice in the last year. Once was to show my wife a problem with it displaying my avatar there. I can't even remember the other reason. I have never posted on the 'wall'.

I use the good olé FB to promote Jurassic aquatics/ polypterus fanatics and part of gun trading and buying groups I might not otherwise have access to. Keeping in touch with old military friends and family, well that and harassing kevin Fleming. I think Facebook is like anything else you make it what you want it to be.
