What gourami? Maybe a Blue Gourami? I would have to up the water changes to 50% twice a week, right?

Yeah, something larger like a blue or opaline. Maybe a kissing gourami, but that may be too large and aggressive.
Upping water changes would probably be helpful with the added fish.

Blue acaras would probably work, they get a good size and are peaceful. Angelfish may also work, but they could be nippy towards the tetras.
Maybe a paiur of Blue Acara's. I wanted to do a breeding thing with them originally. I like Angelfish. Also, my Tetra's are used to getting nipped because they fight amongst themselves. Getting 2 more so they actually act like a school.
I don’t know if a pair of acaras would work unless both females, they will get really aggressive when spawning, and will stand ground. When my angelfish were spawning, they were kept trying to get rid of my acara, but the acara was instead charging at the angelfish. So I can imagine what it would have been like if the acara was spawning.
I looked at them, and they seem aggressive. What about Keyhole Cichlid, or Leopard Ctenopama, like I was previously planning on doing.
What about a Hingmouth? Aqua Imports has Phractolaemus Ansorgii. What about them?
