Delhezi : WHAT am i doing wrong ???

Yeah i see what your all saying a larger tank would help alot i thought if i could keep the water quality good it would still grow we'll mabye not i'll move it to my 20 long as soon as i can
 
My del is @6" and was 5"ish when i bought him a year ago. Some fish just grow quicker and some slower. My laps flew to the size they are now and haven't grown noticeably in the last 5-6 months. Just luck of the draw mate.
 
all the polys i had grew pretty quick my albino Senegals grew from 3" to 8" in about 4 months, i kept throwing in beefheart, bloodworms, feeders, cod fillets, market shrimp and they just kept eating, i already sold them so i don't know how exactly big they are now, but i have 3 new baby polys and already these guys gain about a inch with in a month and a half maybe i just got lucky but i would try power feeding those bad boys.
 
Yeah i think its probably genetics

And like i said don't worrie every one this tank is only temperary i will up the filtration on it and keep doing water changes so they fish stay healthy and soon they will have more room and be nice and happy as we'll and then hopefully grow :irked:
 
I think that tank size definitely has affected the growth, expecially since Delhezis are so active.

Don't feel bad though. Even though mine has grown faster than yours (it was in a 55, and now has been in my 125 for a while), it is still kinda a runt.
 
I think the tank size might have affected it to i just figured that as long as i kept the water params great the fish would still grow no matter what size tank its in
 
I bought mine back on 6-24 about 4 months ago at 2.5" and put it in a divided 55 for about 1 month till it got to about 3.5". Over the next 2 months I have power feed it and is already 6". It's mostly genetics maybe the tank size to.
Diet consist of Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets, Ground Beef(cooked),bloodworms,and market shrimp. Link to thread when I got her. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151797

I got a cb delhezi in July at 3" and now he is 6-7" growing like a weed like people have said it could just be genetics or diet but i feed mine pretty much same as what you listed yours get to eat

I've never heard of someone feeding ground beef to their fish. Interesting...
