designed and built coffee table tank need ideas

Me and my buddy went to the pet store and after rocking a 20 gallon or so thatwas given to me i decided to upgrade to a 4 foot long 75 gallon tank and make it a coffee table in the center of my living room

I need ideas i am planning on builting a light hood that goes withthat and putting snap locks on so it holds the filter hood and light hood together

any suggestions? see anything wrong with the current design I should fix before i get some serious fish in there and its a lot more work??

If that were my 75g it would be sitting at waist height level. I want to be able to see my tank without having to be on the floor.

Not 100% sure what im gonna put in there I started another forum in the general discussion i didnt want to get my thread cut for having it in the wrong spot throw out any ideas you have for fish too if possible post a link or pic so i know what your talking about ....and if it was any higher it would be at tv height my tvs right across from that i wanted to make it so you could see the tankall the time instead of it being in the corner where my small 1 is where you cant see it all without getting up but all the couches are just right around it ill post a pic from the other angle eventually so you can see.... Id also worry about the stability a lot more it it wasnt right on the ground i'dhate to see someone bump there knee on it and flood my 3rd floor apt

With a proper stand a 75 gallon is very stable and needs a lot of bumping to spill water out of it. Just try kneeing something about 800 lbs and see how much it moves. It is a lot of weight (gravity thing..lol). I would not personally put one on the floor because of - getting kicked, vacuum hitting it, placement of filters etc. and not being able to really see into the tank without being on the floor (which is fine if you happen to be in a drunken stupor all the time...lol).

looks good so far is the filter gonna be inside that wooden box to the right it woulr be great for a canister or if you make it taller a power filter.
