Hey guys. A lot of people have been commenting and asking about my setup and how I got the scape done with the plants and wood.
Since I was doing a deep clean and removing some fish, I had to take my tank apart so I figured I'd snap some pics and share the process with you.
First, you want to get large robust pieces of driftwood to form the base of your structure. Use a mixture of long curvy pieces, long flat straight pieces, and thick trunk like pieces and build a shelf. Build the shelf several inches beneath where you intend to have your water line.
Adjust your filter output so it sits just above the water line right over the shelf you created. This will ensure water always gets to your roots even after evaporation. Raising it just above the water line.
Then, take smaller branch wood to create boundaries above the shelf.
