No. A cover letter is prepped and cleaned up for presentation. I mean an on-the-spot essay written during the interview process.

This exactly - anyone can use spell check before submitting a cover letter; having someone write something on the spot is completely different.

In addition, most companies use recruiting agencies and unfortunately some fail at properly screening applicants prior to scheduling interviews even when you have provided them with a detailed list of questions to ask.

That's a lazy person's excuse which only serves to perpetuate bad behaviors. With less attempts at using proper spelling and grammar the chances of being misunderstood increases. Eventually reaching a point where the subject is lost in the confusion of being forced to transpose and parse the poorly written text to render it understandable.

What the hell is this? As college grad with a teaching degree this just makes me laugh. Its homework! How can you not get an A. Your grammer is a real problem if your trying or not. It just seems like your school is trying to help you prepare better for the future and you just don't want to do it.

No child left behind- except the ones who don't care and complain....
