Devastated Blow!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Big Als should have at least given you some store credit towards replacing some of your fish! How long was the tank running?

sorry for your misfortune

I don't know if this is thre right place for this, but I have heard from some on the net that bowfront tanks tend to fail more often than the rectangular ones.

I mentioned this to my local big al's and they said the only tank they have had a problem with was a few 46g bows (not sure which manufacturer)

two days later their 92 corner bow burst a seam.

I think I jinxed it. seriously..

so sorry about your awesome discus ..

good luck with repairing the water damage.

I don't know what to say, other than sorry..

I would personally contact All Glass and have them issue a check for your losses because there 100% liable for this. My buddy owns a pet store and this is not the first time I heard of a bow front tank leaking. Any good aquarium manufacture would cover you for you loss of live stock, filters and heaters and also damage to property; I know perfecto does.

Wow Im sorry to see that man. Have you spoken with big als about this tragedy ???

That's my dad's tank...

Mine are still running fine atm

but like 1-2 years ago, I had the same tradegy, a 40G tank cracked overnight and lost all my fish >.<

That's bloody awful. I am very sorry for the loss of fish and property. I had a 180g with a seam that opened up one day. I was lucky. I heard the water gushing. I had the tank set up for 2 years. I saved all of the fish but lost carpet, padding, a couch, a bunch of books. I had water damage on my pool table. However my insurance company, State Farm, replaced the carpet, padding and couch. They wouldn't work with me on the books but I feel fortunate. I hope you get some insurance to help you as well.

Not all sorrow.. at least we saved $200 xD

During the weekend, we offered $200 for two 4" golden snakeskin discus at a lfs, but the manager insisted $230. Good thing that didn't go thru or it will be another $200 loss >.>

Shouldve bought lottery 649 tonight...

Jackpot is $39 million =.= keep forgetting to buy :(
