actually tiffanys cost a freakin fortune. Unless buying something they designed tiffany is NOT the way to go unless ur made of money

Its a status thing. Watch how her friend react when she tells them the ring/necklace/bracelet/etc is from Tiffany's. Brownie points like you cannot imagine.

LOL yeah im not into name brands, and neither is she. especially when it comes to something like jewelry where you cant even tell! if money was not an issue, then sure, why not! trying to keep it under $5k. $5k will prob get me cubic zirconia and some champagne at Tiffany's

This may sound funny and some one may have already suggested but look at Sam's Club or Costco. You can get some really good deals on nice diamonds from them compared to any jewelry store out there.

yeah ive checked them out. a buddy of mine got his there, and got it appraised/certified for a much higher price. they have some good quality stuff, but the thing is their stock is so random. its hard to find what youre looking for. gotta be at the right store at the right time, and their online stock is rather limited

Very true but you should be able to have them order you a loose diamond that meets your criteria in cut and quality and then you could have it set in a setting she wants.

no sir... its the size that counts...
agree with neo
but color and quality play a great role too..
but a crappy HUGE diamond does turn heads

I dont know, I think younger women (late teens/early 20's) would think its cool to have a large but crappy diamond but a more mature woman would appreciate the opposite. The difference between a high quality diamond and a craptastic diamond is pretty noticeable.

yeah i agree. she better be happy with a D colored diamond!!!!! an F colored already started looking yellow to me, so i couldnt settle for anything less than a D
