Did I miss out on something special??

I was at a lfs today and let me tell you this place has really cleaned up its act!
It is so much cleaner and such good quality stock now.
Anywhoo they had about 6 oscars in one tank they were about 2" each and there was one that looked to be albino BUT it was a steel blue grey, like very noticeably blue!
I really liked the look of him and I am kind of kicking myself now for not picking up a few.
sooo....has anyone seen a fish like this? Am I an idiot for not picking it up?

I saw one those the other day too. didn't seem painted

I think there a new type. I've only found one them is this short sentence on some no name site.

Recent aquarium developments have included a blue oscar fish.

I thought I saw a thread on platinum oscars a little while back. May be something very similar to that. Also heard they lose that shine later and look like standard albinos.

It wasn't a blue iridescent shine, this fish was blue in colour.

Go in there and snap a pic I want to see these oscars, they sound awsome aslong as they don't fade. They didn't have that slime coat illness? sometimes that looks blue/grey lol

I'd pick one up if they are not painted. Also, I would not mind if it faded down the road as long as it still looked good. Worth the chance, assuming they are not horribly over-priced.

Saw something similar around me last weekend. Looked sick though (in coloration) so I didn't think much of it when I saw it.
