Good lookin convict man. You probably did over pay, but, as stated in an earier post if you like him it really doesnt matter. At my LFS we had albino cons that size with the hump on their head for like $7. Still very good looking Con!

Get him either hikari bio gold+, or sinking carnivore pellets (mini massivore)... With a heathy supplement of freeze dried krill. My oscar has grown big and really colorful on that, plus a nice varied diet with some bugs (flies, crickets, worms etc) always helps
Ive Always been the type of person that no matter how common and a dime a dozen a fish is if its an extremely nice one of a kind specimen of it i will pay well for it. Thats how i am. Thats a rare siZe for a convict and not deformed messed up or stunted. So no you did not get ripped off. Enjoy and take care of him he's probably an old timer.
