Did this cop do the right thing?

here's the next controversial topic for the day...

this just happened recently and has been causing quite the buzz. i personally feel that cop acted accordingly. she's lucky she only got punched and didnt get a face full of spray, tazed, or a baton to the torso.

frankly, the cop handled it better than i would have.

I don't think cops have the right to punch people in the face. They have other methods that are acceptable with these types of situations. Punching isn't one of them. He should lose his job IMO.

perhaps a punch may of been excessive but that is probably due to the lack of grappling knowledge displayed by the officer... he could of restrained her differently... but when caught up in the heat of the moment it is very difficult to always maintain your cool especially when the other party if irrate... its interesting to me the lack respect people nowadays have for law enforcement... ive had my fair share of run in with the law as a youth but found the best way to deal with them is truth and cooperation...

while punching wasnt the smartest choice, dont you think it was less severe than pepper spray, tazer, or a baton? i just dont know what else he could he have done. he was alone, trying to restrain one girl, and is then attacked by another girl.

how is he supposed to restrain two women who are fighting him w/o resorting to some form of physical force? what if the girl in the pink was a nutjob trying to reach for his gun?

yeah, this cop needs to learn how to restrain people, he is clueless on this subject. now about the punch, what's he supposed to do when he has two women fighting him?
