I could see the punch being a reaction as she may have been digging her nails into his arm or going for his belt for all the cop knew. Difficult situation for sure. A punch is less severe than tazer or baton but it opens up a big can of worms.

If it was a guy it wouldn't have been an issue. Love that everyone just stands around video taping it with their cell phones.
well done to him for holding back i would have tazed her , she was resisting arrest and the cop had every right to use what ever force he deemed needed.

he should have hit her with the taser it would have been more fun to watch .i think he needs to get sent bk to school and learn how to restrain someone but he did what he had to do. we dont look at the whole he was surrounded by alot of ppl yellin then 2 ppl resisting then assaulted by 1 she is lucky thats all she got .

I don't think anyone was on the cops side that was standing around, and that I'm sure that was a fact much more worrisome than the girls he was dealing with, it could have escalated into something terrible for him. Him punching her in face was probably automatically regretted by him. Did she deserve it, yes, but unfortunately for him he's the cop and will be held up to a higher standard.
Until you work in the field and deal with these idiots...you dont know how you'd handle it. It wouldn't have happened if she hadn't of provoked it !!!!
are you serious? are you serious? are you serious? That's what happens when you mess with Washington State cops friends.... kind of a weak cop in my opinion. I would have just picked her up and pile drived her into the cement once she started to resist.
