and again, i disagree. i say leave the professional crap for the businessmen, politicians, doctors, lawyers, and the likes.Lepisosteus platyrhincus;4218200;4218200 said:@bhack, which situation? I offered 2. one in which i acted out(in thery, this never happend) of what im supposed to do(which he did) and one in which i and one other person was able to control a 250 lb man on PCP without the use of punching or tazer. a simple cravat and some straps is all we needed. of course to be honost once he was tied down they hit him with a good dose of haloperidol. heh heh
@ paint, i would exspect him to act in a professional way. a punch to the face in this scenario is not acting accordingly.
Again what u guys are failing to realise is most people find something wrong with this. apparently i need to say it again, WHEN U ARE IN THE PUBLIC EYE, SUCH AS A COP OR A FF U ARE HELD TO DIFF RULES AND STANDARDS. you MUST act accordingly. A punch is NOT acting accodingly. Was it justified? by some standard but the fact yet again is it was not acting professionally which as a cop he needs to do. No way around that. You are a cop, you act professionally.
i wish i could agree. i really do. but professional is what he is and how he must behave. If she swung at him i would say punch her dead in the face. As a police officer he needs to exhibit control and use the proper amount of force. that was too much force.jcardona1;4218213; said:and again, i disagree. i say leave the professional crap for the businessmen, politicians, doctors, lawyers, and the likes.
when a cop is being attacked, being "professional" is the last thing on his mind. he's human for crap's sake. cant blame him for taking a swing at two attackers and just wanting to make it through the day to see his family.

yet again, when u work in the public eye u need to act diff. if i was wereing my uniform at a bar, what would u think? same thing. Ur in the public eye u need to act accordingly
