DId your datnoids ever had an eating strike?

I'd take the gold fish out if I were you.
 
I'm with arkmann, don't give the feeders. Starve until it takes the foods you want it to eat, and never offer a goldfish again.

agreed....mine went on a huger strike for 2 days...then i started feeding them convict fry...then silverside..
 
oh no, i fed the rest of the gold fish before i got this message =/. you say never feed goldfish again, did you mean all feeders? or am i able to do guppies later on?
 
Feeders have a chance of carrying disease. That disease can transfer to your fish when they are eaten. It is never good to give feeders because of this reason.

Another reason it is bad to provide feeders is what your experiencing right now.

I asumed that you quarantine your feeders, so I said "YES" to finish the unfinish feeders (so you don't have to flush them into the toilet)

That's why you have to quarantine them first :D

Quarantine feeders is what i do when my fish go on a hunger strike. i buy 200 feeders and QT them for 3 months.
 
Yeah i quarantine my feeders. plus the LFS owner has his feeders quarantine first by his suppliers also. I'm hoping my datnoid doesnt go on a hunger strike again if i start to feed him guppies and ghost shrimp as a treat ones in a while
