And another question about rtg ,I see all different color rtg ! Are there like certain types ?i know they're hybrids in stuff but I'm just talking about general red tail golden arowanas .do they all have different colors when grown up? Thanks mfk just wanted to learn some new things

what size ? 10cm aro can be different from 15cm in terms body shape n color

rtg have distinctive features, the black/grey markings in 1/3 part their dorsal , anal and caudal fins

It's hard to explain all the details, but seeing a picture would be easier for me to say. When they are young(4"-5" in length), their scales look similar but have slight difference. The dorsal, caudal, anal fin on a Green Aro, is usually clear or pale yellow. The dorsal, caudal, anal finnages on a banjar red would be red (looks similar to a Super Red). RTG's caudal and anal is usually orange-red but the dorsal fin is grey or black. This is a very vague description but I hope it did help.

As for the RTG, all RTG will grow up to have gold scales, but their scale base color vary. It depends on their genes. Different angles can give you a different base color. The most common base color I've seen is gold, blue, purple, or green. The real RTG(Scleropages aureus) have gold scales up to the 4th level only. The RTG with 5th level gold scale are usually crossed with a XB or another HBRTG(common term for 5th level shine RTG). It's complicated but if you have any questions. I'm more than welcome to answer them. Hope this gives you a better understanding.

Just wanna be sure if I buy one in the long run and not get ripped off ..saw someone here get ripped off for buying a rtg and ended up being a green !! But yeah thanks again man is there any other distinct feature when little?thanks again!

I wish there was a photo chart of what a rtg is suppose to look like :( like a monthly up to date picture !! It's amazing how it looks completely different when it's young to adult sized (compared to jardinis ,silvers )
