Arowana are usually ok to have with pbass and if you check out my thread on the catfish section titled suggestions you’ll find a few good catfish suggested by those experienced guys. Because I’ve asked them that question not so long ago.

Arowana can get along with pbass. Best if you introduce them when both are small, perhaps the aro a bit bigger and give them room. Aros can be pretty nasty too sometimes tho. I've also had aros kill pbass and each other.

Knives can work. Again probably better if the knife is a bit bigger than the pbass since knives aren't really aggressive although if the pbass is small enough they could eat them. But I've kept them together just fine. Might want to throw in some PVC or something so that they can hide away if need be. Some are pretty shy fish.

Thanks, I was reading one of the ten threads and was wondering if one would be a good candidate?

My old Kelberi at 17/18” ate my black ghost knife after they had been housed together for a year or so, I fed the Kel pretty heavily it worked for a while
