I will definitely have to make a road trip then. Toronto is the closest Monster LFS but even then I find their stock overpriced and limited... The snake head idea isn't a bad one either.

Snake heads are easier to find then most fish in the city

Lfs in markham always have them. I personally think those guys are idiots and deserve to be shut down. I don't like the ban but I hate people who potentially risk our waters.

Agree with dogofwar, you'd be amazed at what fish you can get cheap when your in a loop of others with the same interests.
There are usually BAP auctions at meeting where you can get high quality,locally bred fish for pennies on the dollar. Trading is also very common.
 
I live in windsor ontario and we have no good fish stores around here any more. Once or twice a year I travel up to the GTA to go fish shopping. It really is hit or miss though.

Yup, im also in london... Im more then sure that snakeheads are illegal in ontario... If you know of one in markham id love to get the name and address... I want one haha...

You where at pet paradise correct? They have smaller rays in for 100-300 if you wait. Or ask to speak to mark and he can order you one...


Kijiji usually has tons of pbass on it with our area. There arnt many stores that sell "monsters" or unique fish in london... Head to missisauga and hit the strip, there is multiple ones including a sweet chinease one discount dragon aquarium... your head will expload in there... If you cant drive look online.
 
In Ontario you should be able to find decent selection for decent prices. Big thing is to find the right contact who works the right store who has access at the wholesale level and doesnt mind taking a little less profit on a high value fish.
