Dimness of light comparison

Well thats kinda cool, just a sleeve that covers it up? How do they work?

From what i have read about them they just wrap around the tube, you can cut them to length, as i aid they come in all colours and there are also dimmer ones, I have emaiked the store to get more info.
 
Sounds good. Keep us posted.. So we have about 3 methods of dimming lights.

Foil, Electric tape, and those sleeves.
 
In the past I have just simply applied a thin coat of black spray paint to the tubes.Spray from a distance and you end up with a very thin evenly spread coat which handles the heat and reduces the amount of light.

Nope. The beauty of this way is you can apply it to your desired lighting level. If you end up to dark, use thinners to remove the paint (or you can scratch it off the hard way) and start again until you get it just right.
I suggest to do it in very light coats at a time until you get what you want.:)
