nice dude, looking fresh! nice shoot... hows haleys recovery coming?

thanks man. hmm slow but steady i'd say, she just gained some goldish hue, and what i thought was ick is probably just a false warning...

plus tmr's 50% water change day, so im hoping for the best:)

:ROFL:so im not the only one who cudnt resist adding cichlids to a otherwise perfect tank.... every one always gos at me for my rt n jd.... nice jag thou! and haley looks good in that pic;)

other fish are looking good, and good to hear the Cuban is recovering, however, as mentioned in the countless posts regarding the gar's recovery, adding new fish is an unwise idea...controlling the bioload and getting the tank back in proper working order should have been the main priority...that, and aggressive cichlids and gars are an inadvisable combo.

good pics though--

thanks. actually that cichlid is a rescue case, a friend didn't like it and was gonna kill it...i felt bad so i said i'd buy it from him, planning to sell him off...got a buyer who'd collect it later today:)

wasn't the asian arow supposed to be out of there soon too? the "rescue fish" scenario is one of the most tempting (but generally unwise) situations in the hobby. and since you're still learning some of the aquarium basics, i would avoid such situations...especially when the priority should be saving the fish you have, not taking on other projects.

what is the status of the Cuban now? either way, hope the fishes are doing well--
