Dis-Assemble 800 Gallon Tank and put it back together !

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the span of the floor is 16 ft. There is cross bracing between the joists aswell every 4 ft.

I just got off the phone with the engineer. He said that because the load will distributed over 9 joists that the weight will not be an issue at all.

He kept explaining to me that 10,000lbs sounds like alot of weight but is really not when its spread over as many joists as it is.

Exelent. I really wanted to get a look at this tank before you took it apart, even if it meant sluggin some heavy glass. LOL. Oh well, good luck with the set-up.

The Re-Assembly is now complete !

After 11 tubes of Dow Corning 995 Silicone,

Now just need to finish of the stand/surround with stone veneer/ledgestone.

I'm going to buy the pump and start building the sump now.

I was thinking about running a Reeflo tigershark gold or 2 hammerheads , I need about 16 ft of lift from the sump in the basement to the top of the tank.

Will post up some pics once I get it all cleaned up

If that tank is 800 gallons there is really no wooden floor system out there that can hold it up it might be a lot safer to have the tank have it's own sold cement suport footings bypass the wooden and go drectly into the ground blow them so that none of the water's weight crushes the wooden floor.

 NICE!! Really looking forward to its completion; I'm sure its going to be badass! I seen you're thinking about freshwater rays in it, that'd be awesome...will you have any other bottom dwellers and mid-top level swimmers? Guessing so since it would look bare without them lol...so many fish you could house in an 800g
