Disaster goodbye tanganyikan and others tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Because My lfs knows I buy a crap load of fish and the owner is a good friend of mine they always sell me 2"-3" yes I ruler measured ones for $2.50 but I buy in bulks around 30-50 at a time. I love loaches. Had a group of 100 at one time and grew them out all to 3"-5" and resold to try other bottom feeders they could not be beat. Are the loaches pretty sensitive in the seachem prime when I add it in? Only medication I add to them is when I quarantine them for a week and check for ick they always get them. But is there anything I need to look out for when adding peacocks and haps?

And seachem prime does not get absorbed by carbons right?

Buy you don't use it before the water change. You drain your water like normal, them add prime dosed for the entire tank volume when you begin adding your new water

ridiculous! dont dose entire tank! just add to buckets before adding to tank.just dechlor the water in the buckets or you'll be wasting a lot of product.I've noticed prime isn't even required for an established tank.Standard dechlor will do.prime has waste water bacteria in it from water processing plants, that's why it smells so bad.

Wow. Talk about mis information.
The sulfates in prime is what smells bad. Prime IS a really a regular dechlorinator . WTF are you taking about? Do you realize how much prime it takes to dose a 200 gallon tank? You're talking about a few drops each time lol

Speaking of misinformation. Maybe you should write a list of things carbon absorbs. You might lead people to think ammonia is one of those things. Actually besides tannins, and meds. and some odors there isnt much else activeate carbon is good for.

Okay. Well I have bever used dechlor in my tank so dosing the entire tank is okay. Its only 3 cap fulls for me. Not that much as it treats 50g at a time per capful or 5ml. I bought 3 500ml bottles. Will be changing water then adding dechlor then putting in new aged water.

Prime is NOT a regular dechlor! It's dechlor + bacterial supplement.api water conditioner $5 for 16 oz at petsmart is a better deal.I've done the research and tried both.Prime is crap! I'm sick of their disciples who worship it-crap!
