was the first pic taken before the power outage or after?

if it was before, you got some serious water problems to correct :eek:
 
The first picture was taken just after I dumped the monsters into the 1,000 gallon tank. I dumped them in along with about 40 gallons of the tank water I used to transport them in. That water came out of their previous tank. The previous owner's 55gal tank was so bad you couldn't see the back of the tank. It had two 20"+ pacu, two 12"+ pleco and 3 6"+ feeder goldfish. They started churning up all my sand and this picture was the result but it's the only pic I have of all of them together. That's why I posted it despite how gross the water was. I'll post a pic this evening of the tank as it is now, missing the monsters. :( All this to say, the water quality issue is not really an issue; but thank you for your concern.
 
Devistating loss bro. Just when you think everythings turning out good, this happens. My condolences to you, but that is one ]\/[onster tank, hope you can fill it with some nice new monsters.
 
Once again, I feel sorry for your loss. However short of a time they spent in your tank was better than the 55 they were in.
 
with a thousand gal tank i highly agree some sort of backup power should be kept nearby theirs a few forum members here i can recall that almost killed themslfs exchanging massive amounts of water to keep their fish alive after a power outage and now have some power back up..

excuse my run on i;m in i don't give a heck mood..
 
At least your goldfish lived! Seriously that sucks worse than the time I got punched in the mouth by an escort after I told her I wanted a discount because there was no way she was 125 lbs.
 
Sorry for your loss. I was just thinking about a generator a cpl of days ago. I will step up my plans now. I would hate to loose my fish like that.
