Nice rehash. I hate power outages. Sometimes the filters don't reprime.
 
lots of ways to have back up power

batteries for 12v air pump
batteries and inverter for 110 like a UPS for a computer or even use a large computer UPS
and the ulimate is a large generator with lots of fuel ( diesel or lpg preferred)
 
That really sucks. I had the same thing happen to me this winter.

We're in the middle of Monsoon Season here in phoenix, so i just picked up a few batt. op. air pumps.

Generator sounds like a great idea tho.
