has anyone seen the show or movie called amazon abyss on the discovery channel?? its amazing they go diving in the amazon and see all the kinds of fish that we keep in our aquariums

I have seen this show serveral times and think is is amazing to see all of these fish which so many members have just living in the wild. I hate to say it, but it almost seemed weird to see them in the wild all living together and not seeing them in tanks. It just reminds me how beautiful nature will always be and how there is always more to explore.

Its not really a program, so It doesnt come on like every monday or something, but it does come on quiet frequently. If I ever see it on I will make a thread for it.

That show is really good... another one to watch out for is the one about the African Rift Lakes.. Dont know if it was on Discovery or Animal Planet, but that is one worth putting on your Tivo wish lists..

There is a promo for Discovery where there is an arowana jumping out of the water catching a bug.. anyone know if that was on Amazon Abyss or some other show?

arggghhhh I just watched one that had a bunch of Aros but I can't remember what exactly it was. I'm thinking it was an "Equator" show on the Amazon????? Sorry I can't be more specific

I saw it. It was pretty neat.

There is a show with jumping arowanas called "Secrets of the Golden River", don't know if that's the one you're talking about.
Amazon Abyss isen't on often, your best bet on seeing that would be to check out the show listings on discovery.com
I saw someone mention the rift lakes as well. There is a Nat Geo show called "Jewels of the Rift", excellent show on Tang. cichlids. Not on often, check the listings on nationalgeographic.com
