Discus fry(with pics)...any advise

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice discus what kind are they and how much wil u sell the fry for if you sell pm me if you decide to.

I was told that the orange one, which is the male,is a pigeon blood. The female is a turquoise, red rose mix. I dought with the cost of shipping that it would be economical to ship a couple of fish to you.

Thanks

Wow nice, I have breed mollies, guppies and oscars and it is very rare that the fry live that long so congratz!

Yes they are doing well, eating frozen baby brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp and frozen blood worms. I will be seperating them from the parents next weekend.

Once my little discus started to really mow down on live brine, and started to resemble what might going to be a discus Id pull them. This was usually 3-3.5 weeks depending on developement and clutch size. After about 5-6 weeks Id try to move them onto mysis, and a fish food that I made for them. You have a nice looking pair....id be interested to see what those youngesters are going to grow up to look like :)

Fantastic result - those fry look strong and healthy, well done! Keep us posted as they colour up - looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
You pulled them yet?
Sorry if I missed this info, but what size are the parents, what size is the tank and how are you filtering it?
