Here some pics of the fry, they are 4 weeks old this week. They are in a 55g with a wet/dry sump, temp 84 degrees The fry are eating frozen baby brine, frozen brine, frozen blood worms. I plan on seperating this weekend and adding beefheart and flake food to their diet.

Heehee! Baby Discus! Wheehee!
Always think they look way too cute at that size.
Congrats on gettin this far, although I suppose it was just a case of making sure your water was good and leaving them to it, Discus seem such good parents.
Do you have any idea what age they start to show their colours?

so do you have tips on breeding?

leave the fry with the parents for as long as you can... the fry feed off the parents slime coat.. so you really have nothing to do.. after about 2 weeks start throwing some small food in there.. decaps brine, or frozen baby brine.. this will help the parents keep up with the demand of the slime coat... on the 4th week I would get ready to pull them,, they should be big by now, and eating like crazy.. near the end of the 3rd week, or the beginning of the 4th watch out for sores on the parents sides.. if you see it, pull the fry right away.. the parents aren't producing enough slime coat, and the fry are eating the parents flesh.. and you don't want the parents to catch anything, and die...

:iagree:
But I would pull the fry in the beginning of the fourth week for sure.
Nice fish, good luck with those guy's

Update of the fry; a week ago I moved the fry to there own tank, and they have all died but one. Water changes every other day at 25% this kept the nitrates well under 10ppm. They were eating fine with the parents but seemed to stop eating after the move.

The male has paired with another female and they laid eggs yesterday, so I'll try again.
