Also, it would be impossible for me to get the other 2 discus from the same source since the lady i bought them off of claims she got them from Calgary (a city 8 hours away).. I think i am going to email her and try to fish out some more details but unfortuantely shes in Vegas at the time being! arrg

I would not add anything else to this tank. Seriously. If you want more discus and you can't refrain, at least please QT any new arrivals minimum 6 weeks. I will tell you what meds to hit them with before adding to your tank.

I can definately refrain i just want to do what's in the best interest for the fish? i keep reading/hearing that discus thrive best in a minimum school of 6, and i only have four. If u reccomend to keep it as it, i will do so until it's safe/absolutely necessary! I appreciate all your advice and i'll definately adhere to it since your fish are simply amazing.

Yes. There are some, a lot, that believe it takes important nutrients out of the water and also contributes to HITH.

You don't need it.
